First came the Tashkant files, featuring the Lal Bahadur Shastri episode. Then came the Kashmir files, depicting the plight of displaced Hindu Pandits from Kashmir valley. This was followed by the Kerala story, a story of Muslim girls from Kerala. Recently, article 370 was released, followed by Main Atal hu and now Swantantrya Veer Savarkar. All these movies have a clear Hindu narrative and the timing of release of these movies tells its own story. You can draw your own conclusions after watching these movies. One word of caution. Some of these movies are too long and not suitable to watch in a theatre, unless you are willing to sit in a theatre for three and a half hours at a stretch. Better watch them on OTT at your own pace.
There is a saying, when you are on top, be it a game or war, finish off your opponent for good. Do not let him raise his head. The BJP has clearly understood this and acting on it. It is creating its own narrative to bring down the opposition to its knees. Unfortunately, the opposition has succumbed to the BJP plot. It is in a complete disarray, and does not know what to do.
The opposition tried to use its captive electronic media to spread its own narrative, but it has backfired. These days, nobody believes in facebook and whatapp stories.
The British ruled the world for ages. It was said that the Sun never set on British empire and they thought this condition would last to eternity. Look at the facts as they prevail today. After Brexit the plight of UK can be seen clearly. India is set to overtake British economy in near future. Prices are at a all time high. Muslim insurgency is slowly crippling the state.
Congress also thought in the same fashion. They became complacent. They depended too much on minority votes and got alienated from the majority Hindu community and now they are paying a price for it.
Many small opposition parties like Trunamul, NCP are breakaway fractions of the Congress and they are suffering from the same plight. Ideologist like the communists are now becoming extinct.
Shivsena in Maharashtra became too greedy for power without expanding its own strength, which led to its downfall.
As far as BJP’s hunger for power is concerned, Ajit Pawar summed it very well. He told Supriya Sule that just becoming a good parliamentarian and giving good speeches is not enough. You need to be in power to do things.
But there is a difference. When Indira Gandhi was indicted for corruption she chose to bring in emergency, leading to her downfall. She could have easily dissolved the Loksabha instead and fought the elections again.
When Bajpai government lost the Loksabha vote by one, they chose to resign. That is the essential difference between having an ideology and an agenda.
No one will say that Congress did not do ANY GOOD to the country. But the bad things it did outweigh the good things. Today BJP seems to be doing all the good things. Ultimately, it nothing in black and white. It is a case of perception and the kind of narrative you create. BJP has become good at this. They have also delivered on many counts. This fact cannot be denied.
After article 370 was abolished many Kashmiri pandits got back their lands within an year. This fact I know first hand for a fact. Direct deposit of gas subsidy, direct deposit into Jan dhan accounts, free rations to the poor are some of the things which are actually delivered.
While the BJP is scoring on all fronts, the opposition is struggling. This is not a good sign for democracy. I wish the opposition puts its own house in order fast.

"That is the essential difference between having an ideology and an agenda." You are bang on! Maybe, that's because Bajpai was an intellectual, a poet at heart. Totally agree with your conclusion.
